They were on time, courteous, and respectful. Both Chris's did a great job. They even helped me put the bed together. I would highly recommend 2 men & a truck .

PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! They are awful. We spent good money on 5 movers and two trucks. Yet these employees were so careless! One macho guy attempted to lift a 300 pound table by himself. And dropped it, damaging the wood floor. When I suggested he needed to take the top off, he simply tried to lift it again. Then tried jamming it through a narrow doorway, rather than the simple nearby bigger doorway. The crew failed to wrap many items and broke many things. They were actually running with heavy items. I imagine the workers must be under tremendous pressure to move quickly and recklessly to maximize business profit. They just want to grab things without wrapping, throw on the truck, and do the same to unload. They pay no attention to how heavy the furniture is, nor do they care if they are dealing with antiques or expensive items. Everything is just treated like crap. Including the customer.
We even had to have a manager come out during the move, to reprimand the crew to slow down and be more careful. But it didn't change a thing they did.
When a lamp was broken, the company "fixed it". Meaning they bent the socket but never checked that the light wiring itself was broken.
They just truly don't care. Of course, they pressure you to pay the second they are done, even before you see what they did. They literally just bang up walls and indifferently throw stuff in the truck.
Now for management. This company, managed by Tanya Nickel, is awful. She and her staff just pass the blame off on the customer. Deny, lie and then deny some more. My wife and I spent hours dealing with their delay, games and excuses for damage and poor repairs. They really don't care about customer service, evidenced by all of their "replies" to bad posts you see here, blaming the customer, or hiding behind the contract or state law, or simply claiming that there is "no record" of the reviewer being a customer. Hey guys, FYI, when you respond to this that "there is no record of me being a customer", it was under my wife's name. So much for your awful customer service. Now you can just go back to throwing someone's furniture around and not caring.
FOLLOW UP: Joe T., how come we only hear from you now on this app, and never once heard a peep from you in response to the many emails about our damage and poor customer service. Why is that? And as I said originally, only to respond and malign customers?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We are sorry that you felt that you had this type of experience. We attempted, and did resolve the issues with your wife, to which the final settlement was agreed upon.
We go above and beyond many times for our customers in order to make the situation better, which we also did for you and your wife.
While we do maintain a 98% referral rate, we apparently missed the mark with your move. - Apr 21, 2023
So my mother-in-law and her 93 year old mother, (our grandma) needed movers to help them move to their new home. I tried to help as much as I can. I am so glad that we found Two Men and a Truck. They were super helpful. Very careful with all of their belongings. They made sure no furniture or walls got ruined with the move.! They were super attentive to detail they went above and beyond helping them move!

First, I want to say the movers were absolutely phenomenal great kids very hard workers and very nice and then the corporate office completely ripped me off. I am a federal agent and they 100% took advantage of me, it was a 3 1/2 hour move with one stop a mile down from my new place and they charge me for 4 1/2 hours billing me over $1300, I hope they have their tax records in order.

Hello James, we apologize that you were dissatisfied with your move today. The additional cost was for your double drive time as you moved over 26 miles away. This cost was explained to you at time of booking, at the beginning of the move and also listed on your pre move letter. We also checked with the crew and they did not receive a $500 tip - would you like call us so we can ensure they get this if it was what you intended? Please call the office on 916 852 7411 if you have any further questions.

The guys were timely and communicative en route to our departure point, and they both remained friendly and polite throughout the entire process. I was impressed with how much they got done within the time window we scheduled. All of our stuff arrived at our new apartment with no scuffs or scratches. They were nice enough to deliver the furniture and boxes to the rooms they belong in, and set up both beds for us, as well. The price is triple-dollar signs, but with it we got the security and service that were advertised. I felt very comfortable with these two men entering either apartment, and it can't be understated how important that reassurance of safety is when you're hiring any in-home service.
5/5 stars. Definitely would recommend, but hopefully it'll be a while before I need movers again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We used 2 men and a truck in October of 2011 to move our family from a 2 story house to another 2 story house. No issues whatsoever and the bill was $630.
We hired them again in October of this year, 2014. We moved from a 2 story house to a 1 story and with 3 + rooms less of furniture due to the kids moving out.
The bill this time was $800 even though we had 3+ rooms less furniture and moved to a 1 story instead of a 2 story house.
When I noticed they were going long on time, I actually told them to stop to get them off the clock and I finished unwrapping some of our furniture myself.
Granted there was 3 years in between jobs and their rates increased, but the bottom line is that it took them the same amount of hours for each job even though this latest job was significantly smaller and they did not even finish.
They also broke a book case and the washing machine and I was not fully compensated for the damages or my time.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hello Brian, I believe this review is for a move 9 years ago. It is hard to discuss something so far removed in time, but from our notes, you continously swore at both the move crew that came to service you and our previous claims manager regarding your damages. I am sorry you feel so strongly about the move that almost a decade later you reviewed the company despite noone from that time still being employed here. Please accept our apologies and know that we are always working to improve our services.

We recently moved to a new home and used Two Men and a Truck as our moving company. I got quotes from multiple companies but the type of packages and services they offer were the best as compared to others.
Booking them was a breeze. You fill a super easy form on their website and within few mins I received a phone call from their office. On the phone, they will try to fully understand your moving needs, for e.g. how the big the current house, size of new home, how many bedrooms, moving furniture from upstairs, how many beds, tv, treadmill, stuff in garage-- the whole nine yard. Basically they will ask about each room in your house and the items that you will like them to pack and move. Based upon the initial assessment they will give you options.
My options were -
Option A) 2 trucks with 5 crew with unlimited to and from trips for a particular amount.
Option B) 1 truck. 3 crew members with just one way trip for a much lesser charge as compared to option A.
For our use case, I went with option B as it made most sense. The crew and the truck or Three Men and a Truck came right on time. Along with the crew, a site supervisor also comes to sign some paperwork and will walk through the whole house and inspect the items that were discussed during the initial phone call so that there are no surprises for both parties at the end. I think this alone is a great added process to ensure the quality and both parties know what is going to happen and what won't happen.
The crew worked very very very hard. They moved heavy furniture from upstairs, treadmill from upstairs, disassembled beds and zip tied the screws to the beds in a Ziploc type bag and WROTE on the bags id this screws are for master bedroom or kids room. Wow, attention to detail, A+ for that.
Apart from very minor scratches the moving process went smoothly. Even when the guys took lunch break, they communicated that this lunch break won't be billed. We were very impressed by the professionalism of everyone at this company. Though I wish we never move again, but If we ever do. I know which company to call and so should you.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0Business owner information

On 10/7/2021 my parents used this companies service. The move went ok. They were going to transport their own TV's but the movers insisted that they could do it with no problem and if they were nervous about it to buy the insurance. Welp they broke a tv and now after immediately calling they've denied their claim stating that welp you checked all the boxes. I was on their website and they have what's called their "grandma rule" they're definitely not living up to this rule and would reconsider using them as a mover!! The insurance doesn't even work.
See response from company below. Grandma rule does not matter. Doesn't take responsibility for their mistakes.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hello Everett, We sincerely apologize for the damage to your television. At the time of booking and confirmation your parents did decline the box or TV rental bag for the TV. With the decline of supplies for the TV and having no box, the TV was placed on a Release of Liability that they did sign. With the valuation, loose items would still need to be boxed in order to be covered under any of our valuation options. If you want any further clarification, please reach out at 916-852-7411.
